DAME JANE GOODALL DBE
PRIMATOLOGIST & ANTHROPOLOGIST

For more than half a century Dame Jane Goodall has informed both scientists and the general public about the lives of some of our closest relatives – chimpanzees. As legendary as she is passionate, Dr. Goodall has been an inspiration to millions since first appearing on the cover of National Geographic in December 1965. Her work proved that, contrary to popular belief at the time, chimpanzees are tool-using omnivores, whose close-knit social communities mirror certain aspects of human society.
